How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from your account settings under "Subscription". Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time, except where required by law. EU and UK subscribers have a 14-day cooling-off right for new subscriptions.
Can I get a refund on a book I've ordered?
Physical books can be returned within 14 days of receipt in original condition. Email us at support@the-hyphen.in with your order number to arrange a return. Digital downloads (eBooks, PDFs) are non-refundable once downloaded.
I submitted a piece — how do I know you received it?
You will receive an automated acknowledgement email within 24 hours of submission. If you do not receive this, please check your spam folder and then write to us. Our editorial review process typically takes 8–12 weeks, after which we will be in touch with a decision.
Is my submitted work considered exclusively by Hyphen?
We accept simultaneous submissions. If your work is accepted elsewhere while under consideration with us, please notify us as soon as possible so we can withdraw it from our review queue.
How do I apply for a fellowship or mentorship?
Fellowship and mentorship calls are announced on the Hyphen Digital Platform and our newsletter. Each call includes eligibility criteria, application guidelines, and a deadline. There is no standing application form — applications are accepted only during open calls.
I'm having trouble accessing the platform — what should I do?
Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or switching to a different browser. If the issue persists, write to us at support@the-hyphen.in with a description of what you are seeing and, if possible, a screenshot. We will investigate and aim to resolve technical issues within 1 business day.
